|Meet Artisan and Owner, Alan Klockler|
Since his early years Alan Klockler has been interested in the aesthetics of the home. Starting off as a contractor, then moving into decorative painting and interior design, he has transformed countless homes into works of art. Currently, Alan holds a degree in interior design, over 25 different decorative artisan certifications, and is a faculty member of Queensborough Community College where he serves as an instructor for faux finishing classes. As an instructor, Alan has taught decorative painting and design in several colleges and schools throughout Long Island and Manhattan bringing several decades of experience to the classroom.
Alan believes that design begins with the client and ends with the client. "It's all about taking a clients perfect vision of a space and transforming it into reality." Dealing with themed spaces has become one of Alan's specialties, where he delivers realistic renditions of any place or style imaginable. His interest is global, as he scours the world in search of new and innovative materials to bring to his clients.
Alan practices trend-setting faux finishing techniques which have brought him national recognition. He has been published in many magazines such as House Magazine, Distinction Magazine, Windows and Walls Magazine, and New York Spaces Magazine. Alan has also been a guest on WGBB's talk show "The Street". Some of the world's most prestigious estates have donned his work as well, such as Chelsea Manor, Hempstead House (Sand's Point Castle), The Caumsett Mansion, Matinecock Point Venturi house, St. James Cathedral and several private Hamptons Estates.
Alan Klockler has taken interiors to the next level by combining the decorative arts with interior design, which is a fusion of art and creativity beyond boundaries. He been creating spaces that simply surpass even the most sophisticated and particular client's taste. Interior design is constantly evolving as is Design Exclusives. Consistently adapting to each project and creating the perfect environment is most important when a client puts their trust in you. Living on Long Island and in the city of New York, with his wife and two young children, has given Alan the unique opportunity to see and experience the full array of design and art styles that make New York so incredible.
